The Department of Community Health Nursing at the Faculty of Nursing, Minia University should be a center of excellence in the health care of the society and meet its needs at the local and regional levels using modern methods and in line with the global development.

The message of the Community Health Department is to prepare students who are able to provide comprehensive health care to all groups of society, within the framework of international standards for nursing education, using the levels of prevention adopted in Community Health Nursing

1. Equips the students with knowledge and skills to provide nursing interventions to individual, family and community.
2. Promote the health of community.
3. Utilize new trends and technology to improve the health by applying scientific research and post graduate education.
 4. Applying home health care issues to reduce the prevalence of communicable and chronic diseases.
 5. Applying the standards in all educational programs in community health nursing department.
6. Using the results of research as Evidence base to solve the problems of the community.
7. Activate home visit and cooperation with governmental and non-governmental institutions and organizations related to community health.
 8. Prepare well equipped community services unit in the faculty to provide care and awareness to the community member and stockholders.
