MU President Joins Student Delegation in a Visit to the 57th Cairo International Book Fair

Under the leadership and in the presence of the Professor Dr. Essam Farahat Minia University President, a student delegation from the university, including students the union, outstanding students in activities, international students, and students with disabilities, participated in a visit to the 57th Cairo International Book Fair 2026.

The exhibition was held at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in the Fifth Settlement. This visit comes as part of the university’s commitment to supporting cultural and intellectual awareness among its students and enhancing their participation in major national events.

During the tour, His Excellency was accompanied by Dr. Hossam Abdel Rahim, General Coordinator of Student Activities and Director of the Center for Students with Disabilities Services, Mr. Walid Abdel Qawi, Director General of Student Affairs, Ms. Eman Hamdi, Director of the International Students Office, Mr. Mohsen Sayed, Director of the Families and Student Unions Department, and Mrs. Randa Ali Naguib, Female Students Supervisor.

The President of the University and the student delegation visited a number of pavilions belonging to national bodies and institutions, including the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Interior, the Administrative Control Authority, the Information and Decision Support Center of the Cabinet, and the National Reading Project, in addition to several sectors of participating Arab countries. Students were introduced to the latest publications and a variety of cultural programs.

Professor. Essam Farahat emphasized that the Cairo International Book Fair is considered one of the most important cultural and intellectual platforms in the region, as it offers a rich cultural experience that reflects Egypt’s civilized and cultural image and contributes to strengthening the values of knowledge and openness to diverse intellectual currents.
