The President of Minia University Prof. Dr. Essam Farahat inspected the
activities of the first day of the presidential initiative “Be Ready” to join
one million qualified innovators, which organized by the university as part of
the “Alliance and Development” initiative, which aims to prepare young people
for the need of the labor market and develop their skills, under the
supervision of the University Center for Career Development.
During his tour, His Excellency was accompanied by Dr. Ahmed Shawqi
Zahran Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center and Director
of Development Projects Unit at the University and Dr. Lamees El-Gafy Director
of University Career Development Center.
The activities started with the career path, which includes training
students in life skills, personal development, and future skills, to enhance
their ability to cope with work stress, direct daily attitudes effectively, and
develop positive interaction within the various work environments.
On the other hand, Professor. Essam Farahat emphasized that the” Be
Ready” initiative represents the University’s commitment to raising students’
efficiency and preparing them to join the labor market, pointing out that in
light of increasing challenges to get job opportunities, as a university
certificate alone isn’t enough, that is necessary for young people to set a
clear plan for the future, develop oneself, and strengthen skills to create a
successful professional march.
Dr. Ahmed Shawqi stated that the first step of the initiative focuses on
training students and graduates in writing professional CV, personal branding,
creating professional accounts on the electronic platforms, and identifying their
unique personal figure that distinguish them in competitive work environments
rather than planning of long-term future planning and developing a sense
of responsibility.
